The Tropicana Complex at Weston Super mare has been approved. North Somerset Council has given the go-ahead to the proposals to create a water-park pool, eight-screen cinema, 96-bed hotel and bowling venue at the Tropicana site. Work will hopefully commence in 2009 with completion of this exciting entertainment venue due to open in 2011.

A garden in the heart of Broadmead An appeal to individuals, companies, and grant-making trusts for support to green the Broadmead Courtyard of the New Room. John Wesley’s New Room, built 1739, plans to revamp the garden drawing on elements from 18th Century formal gardens to create an urban oasis.
